The Board of Internal Revenue Service (BIRS) in Bauchi State, says it has developed e-channels of remitting taxes, levies and revenue into the state government’s coffers.
The Chairman of the board, Mr Aliyu Jibo, made this known  during the opening ceremony of 142nd
Joint Tax Board (JTB) meeting in Bauchi.
He said that the mechanism would fast track the board’s vision for technology-driven and friendly revenue board.
Jibo called for collaboration with other revenue generating Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA) in the
state for common poll to remit all taxes and revenue generated.
The chairman added that the board would introduce a community impact project to tax payers from the lower
economic stratum in the state.
He appreciated the JTB members for choosing Bauchi for the meeting.
All 36 chairmen of state revenue boards attended the meeting.
