247 medic has emerged winner of the Federal government startup fund of Three million naira at the ongoing e-Nigeria conference.
247Medic is an online (subscription-based) medical care consultation and advisory service that provides patients in cities and rural areas the ability to call or chat with a doctor, request on-site laboratory services at the comfort of their home and get drugs delivered to their doorsteps.
They were presented with the prize by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari at the opening ceremony of the e-Nigeria conference
Several startups were selected and undergone a 24 hours Bootcamp on to pitch their solution but 247 medics emerged winner of the grand prize.
The e-Nigeria is the annual Information Technology (IT) summit hosted by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) in collaboration with relevant stakeholders from the private and public sector as well as Non-Governmental Organizations. It serves as a platform for ICT awareness creation, developing the appropriate framework and setting goals for best practices in order to encourage appropriate positioning of Nigeria in the global Information Society
The event is in its 11th edition as its holding at the International conference center Abuja and it ends tomorrow 29th November 2019.
