Bolt Nigeria is one of the top 5 ride-hailing apps in Nigeria. Formerly known as Taxify, it launched its services in Lagos in November 18th, 2016.

It has since expanded to other cities like Abuja,Ibadan,Owerri,Calabar,Uyo,Ilorin and 16 other cities making it the most expansive ride-hailing platform in Nigeria.

Bolt Nigeria is known for supporting and rewarding drivers with various benefits and reward programmes. Some of them are:- ride-hailing insurance, identity verification, Flexicare (health insurance for their most active drivers) etc.

But now,they have added a new benefit to their rewards programme called Bolt Fuel Rewards.

Introducing Bolt Fuel Rewards

Bolt Fuel Rewards, in conjunction with Total Nigeria, offers qualifying drivers Total Cards for the purchasing of fuel and other items at participating fuel stations (all Total Fuel Stations in Nigeria).

Total Nigeria Plc is a marketing and services subsidiary of Total which is a multinational integrated oil and gas company and one of the seven major oil companies in the world.It has over 500 service stations across the country.

All top drivers in specific cities (market-determined) are qualified to benefit from the Bolt Fuel Rewards.

How the Total Card works

The Total Card is a pay-as-you-go eFuel Card and rechargeable eWallet which equals the same amount as the Naira.

Where drivers can earn the reward

The initiative was unveiled in January 2021 in 12 Bolt cities across Nigeria and will extend to at least 23 cities by December 2021.

Eligibility

In cities where the program is operational, the top drivers on the Bolt Platform are qualified to earn from it

.This initiative focuses on rewarding drivers with extra benefits that add value and enable them to drive and earn more.

Other perks included in the Total fuel reward package are:

  • A 30% discount on jet washes at selected Total stations
  • Free AA rescue for 3 vehicles per year at the nearest Total station in PHC, Abuja, and Lagos.

Only drivers who meet the top drivers requirements for their city in a certain month will earn the fuel reward.This is through a lottery scheme, which encourages various drivers to take part in the reward during the year.

In order to qualify, drivers must complete minimum travel numbers every month in order to receive a Total Fuel Card via a monthly draw.

Key Information

  • Driver ID/Reference number will be used for identification purposes.
  • Drivers will either receive new cards or upgrade their existing cards.
  • Drivers can visit the Bolt office in their city to pick up their eFuel cards.
