Meet the Finalists vying for Jack Ma’s Africa Netpreneur Prize 2019

Jack Ma, China’s reachest man and cofounder of Alibaba has been a passionate supporter of entrepreneurship in Africa thought his flagship entrepreneur program in Africa.

Jack ma’s foundation identifies and spotlights African entrepreneur heroes and their stories to inspire the continent and beyond. The Prize host a grand finale pitch competition in Africa where ten finalists from across the continent compete for a share of US$1 million in total grant prize money.

This Year’s final will be held in Ghana this November.

The founder of “Lifebank” the company which is on a mission to save a million lives across Africa in 10 years. by ensuring access to essential health care products to hospitals across the continent. delivering these products faster, cheaper, and safer to save lives. 

Ayodeji Arikawe

Co-founder of Thrive Agric’  a technology-driven agricultural company passionate about ensuring global food security. raising funds to support farmers from people to support the farmers, with the promise of decent returns at the end of each farming cycle.

Waleed El Rahman

The founder of “Mumm” the Egyptian is creating jobs for women in Egypt, Mumm is a platform that connects Home Cooks with those craving fresh well-balanced meals and Catering the meals are made by mom housewives and freelance chefs.

Kevine Kagirimpundu

She empowers the youth of Rwanda through her fashion business, Uzuri. She founded her company in 2013 and is now producing more than 200 pairs of shoe everyday

The creator of Water Access Rwanda has a vision of “Establishing solutions for the youth of Rwanda and Africa at large.” Water Access Rwanda is a social enterprise that provides innovative solutions in sustainable and reliable clean water access. they have build 93 boreholes in Rwanda and
manages 86 water points.

Omar Sakr

Founder of Nawah Scientific which is transforming the face of scientific research throughout Africa, He empowers research in the region by providing scientists with access to state‐of‐the‐art scientific facilities and related know-how, that enable them to carry sophisticated, more thorough scientific research.

Mahmud Johnson

He creates economic opportunities for the people of Liberia by partnering with local farmers to produce palm kernel oil for clean hair and beauty products. through his company J-palm Liberia.
