Sprinters SPRINTER is a 3 day startup sprint for Women in Tech and Entrepreneurship and those who aspire to be. During the sprint entreprenHERS, leaders, mentors and innovators from the tech and startup world come together to plan, create, implement, test, and run a business case idea. The initiative gives women of any background and age the opportunity to not only dream but to create business cases by giving the tools needed to become an entrepenHER and creating opportunities through networking.
the three day hackathon plans global expansion, launching their next program in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria. The hackathon is designed to support more women in the world of tech and entrepreneurship. Dates have been set for July 31st – August 2nd, 2017 in Lagos and August 4th – 6th in Abuja with a final gala celebration and panel discussion on August 6th, 2017.
An impressive entourage of speakers will share their know-how with the participants. Confirmed are Eniola Mafe, Programs Manager at DNPI who was named one of the 99 most influential foreign policy leaders under the age of 33, by Diplomatic Courier and Young Professionals in Foreign Policy in 2011 and one of the 13 Young African Business/Economic Leaders to watch in 2013 by Ventures Africa Magazine. Patrick Gaincko, CEO & Founder of the GainXperience, speaker and adviser to internationally established companies on market entry, growth strategy, consumer trends monitoring, and market opportunity identification. He has been a speaker at several international events, including the Harvard Africa Business Conference(USA), as well as the Made in Africa Week at Microsoft New York (USA). Additional speakers are Tosin Durotoye, an entrepreneur with extensive knowledge in grant management and community development, Â Chibuikem Agbaegbu, an entrepreneur, researcher and renewable energy advocate with strong knowledge and experience in the renewable energy industry on an international level, pushing for innovation in the clean energy sector, and Ify Malo, a qualified attorney, founder of Power For All in Nigeria and CEO of Clean Tech Hub and the Energy Innovaiton Center, Abuja with an extensive background in policy and strategy development.
