It all started as a dream; now it has become a reality.
TrainQuarters – the very first all-in-one online course platform to be created in Africa – has berthed.
TrainQuarters enables people to conduct courses, and is geared at eradicating illiteracy in Nigeria and other African countries.
This is the brainchild of Stephanie Obi, an Information Communications Specialist, who says her desire is to ensure a paradigm shift in the education sector of the continent.
“Even though I had my first degree in computer science, I used to love making accessories and so I started a business with it,” she says.
“After some years, I decided to start training people but when I organised my first workshop, nobody showed up.”
Stand-out
Besides serving as a boost to educational learning and to assist technology entrepreneurs to succeed in various businesses, TrainQuarters is set-out to assist people to offer online courses, receive payments, build websites, generate revenues and do other transactions.
“In a bid to get more customers, I started marketing online and I started to get requests from all over Nigeria. I could not travel to all the cities to host those workshops and so I decided to launch an online course,” Obi notes.
“To date, this online course still attracts customers and I now help other entrepreneurs to turn their knowledge into profitable online courses. I however discovered that they were struggling with the tech, and this is why I launched TrainQuarters to make it easy for them,” she opines.
Following the inauguration of the facility in Lagos, TrainQuarters, up to 300 people have enlisted on the platform with websites on information that people look for daily.
Obi, a first-class graduate of Covenant University Ota in Ogun state says TrainQuarters is expected to bridge the huge education gap in Nigeria’s education within the next few years.
