Uyo to host 2018 GDG DevFest South-South conference

Uyo, the capital of Akwa Ibom state, will play host to Developers and entrepreneurs from within and outside Nigeria, as GDG Uyo will organize the 2018 DevFest South-South conference.

This event is aimed at learning and sharing experiences about Android, Chrome, Cloud, Machine Learning and more technologies.

It is the biggest community driven conference run by group of developers who share a passion for Google’s developer technology.

Attendees will gain insight into latest Google tools and futuristic innovations by Google, network with tech experts in Africa during the event.

They will have the opportunity to pitch their product to potential investors who are ready to offer supports to winners.

The GDG Uyo DevFest conference will be supported by 4 other GDGs around South-South Nigeria – Port Harcourt, Calabar, Warri and Bonny Island.

The event will feature keynote talks, breakout sessions, code-labs, workshops and product showcase to be hosted by 18 carefully selected tech personalities.

It is scheduled for November 16, 2018 at Je-nissi Event Center, 7 Akpaube Str. Off IBB Avenue, Uyo.

The theme for the conference is: “Digital Access and Inclusive Economic Growth”.

Speakers for this year’s DevFestSSUyo include: Hanson Johnson (Start Innovation Hub), Mark Essien (Hotelsng), Aniedi Udobong (Google Nigeria), Celestine Omin (Paystack) and lots more.

The 2018 DevFestSS will be ticketed, and ticket prices are as follows: Students – N500 (jotter), Regular – N1,000 (tea cup) and N2,000 (I LOVE DFSS T-shirts).
