WhatsApp on iOS phones now has Face ID And Touch ID Locking

Having accepted the importance of facial recognition technology, WhatsApp has released a new update for its iOS app that brings support for biometric authentication.

This means that if users to have an additional layer of security for WhatsApp on an iOS device, they can now lock it with Face ID or Touch ID.

In other words, users can now lock WhatsApp on their iPhone using Face ID or Touch ID.

This feature only works with the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS which is 2.19.20, which can be accessed from the Privacy menu of the Account section in the Settings app.

Even if this feature is enabled, users will be able to view WhatsApp notifications if they have message previews enabled.

They will also be able to quick reply through notifications in iOS but the full app won’t be opened unless the authentication process is passed.
